The Fox Challenge: Don’t Build the Solution Yet

Most projects reward us for finding answers quickly. But when we move into solution mode too early, we often end up refining the first reasonable idea instead of discovering what else might be possible. In this workshop, you’ll experience this tension hands-on. Using the same simple set of LEGO bricks, you’ll move through a series of short building challenges that reveal how differently we approach open-ended problems - and what changes when we deliberately switch between exploring possibilities and making decisions. Along the way, you’ll discover the difference between divergent and convergent thinking, why both are essential, and how to recognize which mode a situation actually needs. You’ll leave with a simple mental model for moving between Explorer Mode and Decision Mode - helping you generate more possibilities before turning the right ones into solutions.
