Michael Gross

Michael Gross is an independent IT consultant from Germany and the founder of DOT MG. He has been writing code for 30 years, long enough to remember when "automation" meant cron jobs and shell scripts.

Today, he specializes in local-first automation: n8n workflows and local LLMs running on hardware his clients own, the unglamorous backbone of small companies, from document management and invoicing to mail servers, built so data never leaves the house. His session grows out of his own second brain: 20 years of personal data made answerable, running on n8n as the deterministic kernel, with an incurable self-hoster's homelab underneath it all.
