About BackgroundErase

BackgroundErase removes image backgrounds inside n8n workflows using the BackgroundErase API. Process binary files from apps like Google Drive, Dropbox, HTTP Request, webhooks, and email attachments, or send a public image URL from tools like Airtable, Shopify, Webflow, Google Sheets, or a CMS.

The node includes dedicated operations for removing backgrounds from files and image URLs, plus an advanced API call operation for account checks and future BackgroundErase API endpoints. Output images can be returned as transparent PNGs, WebP or JPG files, cropped to the subject, resized, flattened onto a background color, or returned as alpha masks for compositing workflows.

Use BackgroundErase for ecommerce product photos, catalog cleanup, marketplace listings, CMS image workflows, internal operations, and automated asset preparation.
