Send horse racing odds movement alerts with Apify and Telegram

Quick overview

This workflow runs on a 30-minute schedule, uses Apify’s World Turf Pulse actor to detect significant horse racing odds movements across selected markets, and sends a consolidated alert to a Telegram chat when notable steamers (and optionally drifters) are found.

How it works

1. Runs every 30 minutes between 11:00 and 21:00.
2. Sets the target racing markets, odds range, movement threshold, and Telegram chat ID.
3. Runs the Apify World Turf Pulse actor to fetch and compare the latest win odds against the previous run and return only movement signals.
4. Filters to steamers (and optionally drifters), sorts by biggest probability change, and builds a single HTML-formatted Telegram message capped to the configured maximum number of alerts.
5. Sends the message to Telegram and sends nothing when no signals are returned.

Setup

1. Create an Apify account, add your Apify API token as an Apify credential, and ensure the workflow can run the 0xgollum~world-turf-pulse actor.
2. Create a Telegram bot with @BotFather, add the bot token as a Telegram credential in n8n, and get the target chat ID.
3. Update the Settings values, especially telegram_chat_id, and adjust markets, min_odds, max_odds, movement_threshold_pct, and include_drifters to match your alert preferences.
4. Review the schedule (*/30 11–21 * * *) and change the hours/interval if you want different monitoring windows.
