What can you do with Privent?

Emit	Emits a Privent audit event for non-tokenization steps (LLM call cost tracking, policy decisions, egress, errors)

Detokenize	⚠ Agent-reachable as a tool: an agent could un-mask data with this operation. Use Strict Mode + Trusted Sinks to control egress. Resolves [KIND_NNN] placeholders back to their original values before data leaves the workflow.

Record	Marks an explicit agent → agent (or agent → external sink) handoff for the Trust Map

Score	Scores text for data-leak risk using Privent ML. Returns risk_score (0–1), risk_level, and per-category probabilities.

Open	Opens a Privent session vault at the start of your workflow. Place this node before any Tokenize operations. The sessionId output must be passed to all downstream Privent nodes.

Tokenize	Replaces sensitive values with reversible [KIND_NNN] placeholders before the text reaches an LLM or external service

How to install Privent and use it in your n8n workflows

Verified nodes need a quick setup by an instance owner first, but after that, everyone on the instance can start using them in their workflows. Learn more here.

Sign in to n8n, open the editor, and click + in the top right to open the Nodes panel

Search for Privent using the search bar. Look for the version marked by a badge Verified . Then, select install.

Once Privent is installed, just drag, drop, and connect it like any other node in a workflow.
