Quick overview
This workflow collects Etsy-style product and packaging photos via an n8n form, uploads and crops them on fal, optionally uses OpenAI to write shot prompts and captions, renders a vertical unboxing/reveal video with Kling 3.0, and delivers it to TikTok as a draft via SocialRobot.
How it works
- Receives product details and image uploads through an n8n form submission.
- Sorts the uploaded images into product, optional packaging, and extra reference photos, then plans a 9:16 crop for the packaging and product frames.
- Uploads the photos to fal storage and runs fal’s crop utility to generate cropped frame images.
- Validates that the photos are usable and chooses an unboxing plan (with packaging photo) or a product-reveal plan (without packaging), optionally generating shot prompts and multi-platform captions with OpenAI.
- Submits a Kling image-to-video job on fal using the packaging photo as the first frame and the product photo as the last frame, then polls fal until the render completes or times out.
- Downloads the completed video from fal, checks the MP4 duration and file size limits, and uploads it to TikTok as a draft with a prepared caption via SocialRobot.
- Stops the run with a readable error message if any step fails (photo validation, fal upload/crop, Kling render, download, checks, or SocialRobot delivery).
Setup
- Create a fal API key and add it as an HTTP Header Auth credential (Authorization: Key YOUR_FAL_KEY) on all fal HTTP Request steps.
- Add an OpenAI credential for the OpenAI chat model (or disable caption/prompt generation by setting use_openai to false).
- Install the community node @socialrobot-io/n8n-nodes-socialrobot, add your SocialRobot credential, connect your TikTok account in SocialRobot, and select the TikTok account ID in the TikTok draft upload step.
- (Optional) Enable the Instagram/Facebook/Threads/Pinterest posting steps and set the required SocialRobot account IDs, plus Pinterest account and board IDs if you turn on the Pinterest API request step.
- Review and adjust the settings in the video configuration step (video length, shot count, cropping, prompt guardrails, hashtags, polling interval, timeouts, and file size limits) before activating the workflow.
