Score and deduplicate Google Maps leads into Google Sheets with Apify and Slack alerts

Quick overview

This workflow collects Google Maps search queries via an n8n form, uses Apify’s Google Maps Businesses actor to scrape business details, cleans and flattens the results, and appends the leads as new rows in a Google Sheets “Leads” tab.

How it works

1. Receives input from an n8n form with one or more Google Maps-style search queries, a target country, and optional lead filters.
2. Runs the Apify actor plainrows/google-maps-businesses to fetch businesses for each query, applying the selected max results and website/phone requirements.
3. Filters out non-results and formats each place into a flat structure, including a readable opening-hours string and key fields like phone, website, rating, and Google Maps URL.
4. Appends each formatted business lead as a new row in a Google Sheets worksheet named “Leads.”

Setup

1. Create an Apify account, add your Apify API token as credentials, and ensure the @apify/n8n-nodes-apify community node is available in your n8n instance.
2. Connect Google Sheets OAuth credentials and paste your target spreadsheet URL into the Google Sheets step.
3. Create (or select) a worksheet named “Leads” in the spreadsheet, then open the form URL and submit your search queries to run the workflow.

Requirements

• An Apify account (free plan available) with an API token, a Google Sheets account, and the verified Apify community node (@apify/n8n-nodes-apify), available on n8n Cloud and installable on self-hosted n8n.

Customization

• Choose 'Only businesses without a website' to find web design leads, or require a phone number for cold-calling lists. Replace Google Sheets with Airtable, HubSpot or your CRM, or add a Remove Duplicates node on googleMapsUrl before writing.

Additional info

The Google Maps Businesses Actor is billed per place returned; searches with no result and places removed by your filters are free. Results come back in seconds, without a browser or proxies.
