Monitor web product prices and send change alerts with HTTP and Telegram

Quick Overview

This workflow runs hourly to scrape product prices from web pages using HTTP requests and CSS selectors, compares them to previously stored values, and sends Telegram alerts when prices change or drop.

How it works

1. Runs every hour on a schedule trigger.
2. Loads your product list (name, URL, and CSS selector), plus alert preferences like chat ID and whether to alert only on drops.
3. Downloads each product page via HTTP and extracts the price text from the HTML using the provided CSS selector.
4. Parses the extracted price into a number, compares it with the last stored price in workflow static data, and keeps only real changes (optionally only decreases).
5. Sends a formatted Telegram message with the old price, new price, percentage change, and a link to the product page.

Setup

1. Create a Telegram bot and add Telegram API credentials in n8n.
2. Update the Telegram chat ID, the onlyDrops setting, and the products list (URL and CSS selector) in the alert settings.
3. Execute the workflow once manually to initialize stored prices, then activate it to run on the hourly schedule.
