Email new insider stock purchases from your watchlist with Equibles and SMTP

Quick overview

This workflow runs every weekday (or on demand), checks Equibles for recent open-market insider stock purchases across a ticker watchlist, filters and deduplicates the results, and emails you a single HTML digest of new qualifying trades.

How it works

  1. Runs every weekday at 8:00 (or manually when you click run) to start the insider-buying check.
  2. Loads your configured ticker watchlist, lookback window, minimum trade value, and email addresses.
  3. Splits the watchlist into individual tickers and queries the Equibles insider-transactions API for “Purchase” trades since the calculated start date.
  4. Filters the results to keep only open-market trades that meet or exceed the minimum value threshold.
  5. Removes trades that were already sent in previous workflow executions to avoid repeat alerts.
  6. Builds an HTML email summary sorted by trade value and sends the digest via SMTP to your target recipient.

Setup

  1. Create a free Equibles API key at https://equibles.com/dashboard/apikeys, then add an HTTP Header Auth credential to the Get insider purchases node with the name Authorization and the value Bearer <your_key>.
  2. Add an SMTP email credential for the email-sending step.
  3. Update the watchlist tickers, lookbackDays, minValue, and the to/from email addresses in the watchlist settings before activating the workflow.

Requirements

  • An Equibles account. The free plan allows 100 requests a day, and each run uses one request per ticker, plus any SMTP account for sending the email.

Customization

  • Swap the email node for Slack, Telegram or Gmail, change the cron expression to run weekly, or raise minValue to see only large purchases.

Additional info

The 14-day lookback catches purchases that are reported a few days after the trade, and the Remove Duplicates node keeps them from being sent twice. A ticker that does not exist is skipped instead of stopping the run.
