Quick Overview
This workflow runs every 6 hours, uses Apify’s Trustpilot Reviews Scraper actor to fetch newly posted 1–2 star Trustpilot reviews for a list of businesses, then formats each review into a Slack message and posts it to a chosen Slack channel.
How it works
- Runs every 6 hours on a schedule.
- Loads the list of businesses to monitor, target star ratings (1 and 2), and per-run limits from the workflow settings.
- Calls Apify (heyitsgautham/trustpilot-reviews-scraper) to scrape Trustpilot reviews sorted by recency and return only reviews that are new since the last Apify run.
- Keeps only successful review items from the Apify dataset output.
- Formats up to the configured maximum number of Slack-ready alerts, including star rating, business name, date, review text, and a Trustpilot link.
- Posts each formatted alert to the specified Slack channel, and posts nothing when there are no new matching reviews.
Setup
- Install the Apify community node (@apify/n8n-nodes-apify) in your n8n instance.
- Add an Apify API token credential to the Apify node.
- Add a Slack credential and set the target channel (for example, #alerts) in the Slack message step.
- Update the Settings values for businesses, stars, maxReviewsPerBusiness, and maxAlertsPerRun to match what you want to monitor.
