Quick overview

Fetch your eight personal products for Community Weekly Challenge 08, The Restock Desk, with one HTTP request. Split the products into individual items, then build your own native restock calculation. Five linked notes explain setup, timing and submission.

How it works

  1. The Manual Trigger runs the starter only when you choose to execute it. Reading the task and importing this file are untimed.
  2. My settings provides your community username and current participant key. These values identify the personal assignment requested by the next node.
  3. Fetch my products makes one GET request to the permanent Challenge 08 data endpoint. The complete packet supplies all eight products needed for both answers.
  4. Split products separates assignment.items into individual items. Continue from that output with your own native nodes; the completed restock calculation is intentionally left for you to build.

Setup

  1. Read the task and current participation status at https://marketing.app.n8n.cloud/webhook/cwc/site before executing. Register or recover your participant key using the links on that website.
  2. Enter your community username and current participant key in My settings. Keep HTTP authentication set to None. The endpoint opens with Challenge 08; organiser credentials are not required for participation.
  3. Execute the workflow when you are ready to begin. Your first successful personal data issue starts the clock. Build your calculation, then clear the key and saved run data from a copy before exporting that clean JSON for website submission.

Requirements

  • An n8n instance and a registered Community Weekly Challenge account with a current participant key. Outbound HTTPS access to marketing.app.n8n.cloud is required.

  • Continue after Split products using the field names included in your personal assignment. Build your own solution with native nodes, without AI assistance or Code, Function or Function Item nodes.
