Create UGC video ad variants from Google Sheets with GenMagic and Gmail

Quick overview

Add products to a Google Sheet and get UGC-style video ads back: GenMagic reads each product page, writes ad variants, emails them for your approval, renders only the ones you pick as spoken 6-second vertical clips, and writes links, captions and cost back to the sheet.

How it works

  1. Check Hourly starts a run every hour. Get New Products reads the rows whose Status is new and Pick Next Product takes the first one.
  2. Fetch Product Page and Extract Product Details read the product page: title, description, image and text, so the scripts use only the product's own facts.
  3. Generate Ad Variants asks a GenMagic text model for several variants as JSON (angle, spoken line of at most 16 words, presenter and setting, action, caption). Presenters introduce the product and never claim to have used it.
  4. Format Variants for Review and Request Approval by Email send the variants to your inbox and pause the run until you reply with the numbers to render. Read Approval turns your reply into a list, and Any Variant Approved? marks the row skipped when you reply 0.
  5. For each approved variant, Generate Presenter Photo uses Nano Banana with your product photo as the reference, so the product and its label stay as photographed, and Generate Spoken Clip turns it into a 6-second 9:16 clip with sound on Veo 3.1 Lite. Save Ad Clip to Drive stores it.
  6. Construct Results and Mark Product Ready write the clip links, captions, cost and status ready to the product's row.

Setup

  1. Install the GenMagic node: open the nodes panel, search for GenMagic and install it from More from the community (on self-hosted n8n you can also install the package n8n-nodes-genmagic under Settings, Community Nodes).
  2. Create a free GenMagic account and an API key at https://genmagic.co/get-api-key?utm_source=n8n&utm_medium=template&utm_campaign=ugc-ad-factory and choose it as the GenMagic API credential on the three GenMagic nodes.
  3. Create a Google Sheet with the columns Product, Product URL, Photo URL, Audience, Language, Variants, Status, Clips, Cost (USD), Updated, add a product with Status new, and select the sheet in Get New Products, Mark Product Skipped and Mark Product Ready.
  4. Connect Gmail in Request Approval by Email and replace [email protected] with your own address.
  5. Connect Google Drive in Save Ad Clip to Drive, pick a folder and activate the workflow.

Requirements

  • n8n (Cloud or self-hosted) with the verified GenMagic community node installed
  • A GenMagic account and API key; new verified accounts get free starter credit, and at today's prices each rendered variant costs about $0.51 (the 6-second 720p clip with sound is $0.45 of it)
  • A Google account for Google Sheets, Gmail and Google Drive

Customization

  • Use Veo 3.1 or Kling in Generate Spoken Clip for final renders, or change the clip length
  • Approve in Slack or Telegram instead of Gmail; both can wait for a reply the same way
  • Change the schedule, the default number of variants or the tone of the scripts in Generate Ad Variants
  • Add a posting node after Mark Product Ready to schedule the clips on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube
