Microsoft Outlook and Telegram integration

Save yourself the work of writing custom integrations for Microsoft Outlook and Telegram and use n8n instead. Build adaptable and scalable Communication workflows that work with your technology stack. All within a building experience you will love.

How to connect Microsoft Outlook and Telegram

  • Step 1: Create a new workflow
  • Step 2: Add and configure nodes
  • Step 3: Connect
  • Step 4: Customize and extend your integration
  • Step 5: Test and activate your workflow

Step 1: Create a new workflow and add the first step

In n8n, click the "Add workflow" button in the Workflows tab to create a new workflow. Add the starting point – a trigger on when your workflow should run: an app event, a schedule, a webhook call, another workflow, an AI chat, or a manual trigger. Sometimes, the HTTP Request node might already serve as your starting point.

Step 2: Add and configure Microsoft Outlook and Telegram nodes

You can find Microsoft Outlook and Telegram in the nodes panel. Drag them onto your workflow canvas, selecting their actions. Click each node, choose a credential, and authenticate to grant n8n access. Configure Microsoft Outlook and Telegram nodes one by one: input data on the left, parameters in the middle, and output data on the right.

Step 3: Connect Microsoft Outlook and Telegram

A connection establishes a link between Microsoft Outlook and Telegram (or vice versa) to route data through the workflow. Data flows from the output of one node to the input of another. You can have single or multiple connections for each node.

Step 4: Customize and extend your Microsoft Outlook and Telegram integration

Use n8n's core nodes such as If, Split Out, Merge, and others to transform and manipulate data. Write custom JavaScript or Python in the Code node and run it as a step in your workflow. Connect Microsoft Outlook and Telegram with any of n8n’s 1000+ integrations, and incorporate advanced AI logic into your workflows.

Step 5: Test and activate your Microsoft Outlook and Telegram workflow

Save and run the workflow to see if everything works as expected. Based on your configuration, data should flow from Microsoft Outlook to Telegram or vice versa. Easily debug your workflow: you can check past executions to isolate and fix the mistake. Once you've tested everything, make sure to save your workflow and activate it.

Send file to kindle with Telegram Bot and Outlook

Workflow Overview
This workflow automates the process of forwarding e-book files to a Kindle device using a Telegram bot and Outlook email.

Setup Steps:

Telegram Bot Setup:
Create a Telegram bot via BotFather and configure its credentials in the workflow.

Outlook Email Configuration:
Set up your Outlook email credentials. (Currently, only Outlook is supported, but you can modify the workflow to support other email providers.)

Amazon Kindle Email Setup:
Find your Kindle device's email address from your Amazon account. This will be the recipient address for the e-books.

Allow Email Sending to Kindle:
Ensure your Amazon account is configured to allow emails from your Outlook address to send files to your Kindle.

Workflow Explanation:

The workflow begins with a Telegram bot trigger node that listens for new chat messages.

When a new message is received, the workflow checks if the message contains a file attachment.
If no file is detected, the bot will send a warning reply to the user in the chat.

If a file is found, it will be renamed to ensure it appears correctly on the Kindle device when sent.

The workflow then composes an email with the file attached and sends it to the Kindle's receiving address.
If the email is sent successfully, the bot will notify the user with a success message in the chat.

Only Amazon-supported file types will be accepted by Kindle.
If sending fails, you will receive a notification email from Amazon in your Outlook inbox.
In case of delivery issues, retry sending the file as network issues may occasionally interfere with the process.
