n8n node-athon

We are thrilled to announce that this month we will host our first ever online hackathon: The n8n community node-athon.

To participate, we ask our members to build a brand new community node between August 18, 12:00pm to August 29, 12:00pm CEST.

We will judge all submissions based on a set of criteria including;

Quality: does the node run smoothly, without errors?
Effort: does the node go above and beyond in terms of capability?
Documentation: is the node well documented on the npm package page?

This is an online virtual event, allowing everyone to get involved!

We will have an opening and closing livestream ceremony hosted by our own Community Engineer Ardit Fetahu!

If you are looking for support on building your node, we have opened up a dedicated section in our forum! Our Integrations Engineer Ricardo and Community Engineer Jon will be able to help you with any questions you may have.

Rules

  • Your node must not have any system dependencies, apart from npm dependencies.

  • The community node should be source-available and public for everyone to use.

  • Any API that you use must be public.

  • Participants can make multiple nodes, but nodes will be scored individually.

  • Participants can work in teams, but the prizes will be split evenly amongst collaborators.

  • You must tag your node with ‘’n8n-node-athon’’ in the package.json file.

  • We will only accept community nodes for this event that are created and submitted during the event timeframe.
