These AI Terms supplement the Agreement between n8n and Customer. In case of conflict between these AI Terms and the Agreement, these AI Terms prevails with respect to AI Features.

 

  1. Definitions

    AI Features: means n8n's generative AI functionality integrated into the n8n Cloud Services or Software. 

    AI Output: means content, predictions, recommendations, code, or other materials generated by AI Features when processing Customer Data through the n8n platform or Software.

  2. AI Features

    1. AI Feature Disclosure. n8n's AI Features are disclosed in n8n's publicly available documentation. The core n8n workflow automation platform is not generated by AI.
    2. Customer Control. Customer controls which AI Features to use and which third-party AI models to connect. n8n provides the workflow platform; Customer configures LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) using Customer's own API credentials.
    3. Customer Data Restrictions. n8n will not: 
      • Use Customer Data to train any AI models operated by n8n;
      • Retain Customer Data beyond the time required for immediate AI Feature processing and delivery of AI Output to Customer;
      • Share Customer Data with third parties except as necessary to deliver AI Features at Customer's direction (e.g., when Customer configures workflows to use third-party LLM services).
    4. Usage Data. n8n may collect and use Usage Data to improve n8n Services, provided such Usage Data does not contain Customer Data or identify Customer or its users.
    5. Third-Party AI Providers. When Customer configures AI Features to use third-party LLM services, Customer Data may be transmitted to such providers pursuant to Customer's configuration. Customer is responsible for reviewing and accepting such third-party providers' terms and data handling practices.

  3. Ownership and Licensing

    1. AI Output. To the extent permitted by applicable law, as between n8n and Customer, Customer owns all AI Output generated through Customer's use of AI Features. Customer grants n8n a limited license to process AI Output solely to the extent necessary to:
      • deliver, maintain and improve AI Features;
      • generate AI Output; and 
      • fulfill n8n's obligations under the Agreement.
    2. No AI Output Training. Notwithstanding Section 3.1, n8n will not use AI Output to train AI models operated by n8n.

  4. Warranties

    1. No Accuracy. Customer acknowledges that AI Features use probabilistic models and AI Output may contain inaccuracies, errors, or inconsistencies. Customer is solely responsible for validating AI Output accuracy, completeness, and fitness for Customer's intended purposes before relying on or deploying AI Output in production environments.
    2. Warranty. Subject to Section 4.1, n8n warrants that AI Features will perform materially in accordance with n8n's documentation. Except as set forth in this Section 4.2 and the Agreement, n8n provides AI Features "as is" without warranties of any kind.

  5. Prohibited Uses

    1. Customer will not use AI Features for high-risk purposes where errors could result in death, serious physical injury, or significant legal liability. Customer will use AI Features in compliance with applicable laws, including AI-specific regulations.
